care & use
These miniature artworks are meant for adult collectors and are not intended for use by small children.
The dot on the bottom of each piece indicates which side should face front, in case there is any doubt.
Please avoid excessive handling. To do so can cause discoloration of the piece and may weaken the bond of the glue (see glue note). Take care to hold only by the edges or bottom of the plate, platter, basket or bowl.
To keep these free of dust and dirt:
- dust pieces lightly with a soft bristled brush
- do not let them get wet.
I try not to use toxic 'superglues' and, instead, use a strong white glue. If the glue join unbonds, please contact support@minikim.ca for assistance.
Depending on where a piece 'lives', any miniature can be susceptible to bugs, even rodents. As I use dried organic materials in some pieces, please take care to keep them clean and dry.
If your piece has 'Mini Hold' on the bottom of it (a slightly sticky wax I use for display):
- gently scrape off with a toothpick and rub residue off with a cloth.
This is especially important if you are gluing the piece down.
And finally, do not eat.
